The Respite Home provides Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities temporary accommodations in order for their Families or Care Providers to receive an interval of rest or relief. The Staff at the Respite Home are trained Care Providers who assist Individuals with a multitude of needs.
The supports provided include, but are not limited to, assistance with personal care, medication, meals, recreational activities and the usage of equipment such as wheel chairs and oxygen tanks.
The Home is available to Families/Care Providers for up to seventy (70) days per fiscal year and stays at the Respite Home can range from three hours long to three weeks long, depending on the availability of space.
Booking time at the Respite Home:

Families/Care Providers can book Respite stays one month in advance. Any bookings which are 4 days or more can be done one year in advance.
All medications must be blister packaged by the Pharmacy. Any liquid medications must have a Pharmacy label with the Doctors prescription attached. All over the counter medications (ie. Vitamins, Benadryl, cough syrup etc.) must be blister packaged by the Pharmacy and have the Doctors prescription attached. Failure to comply will result in the Consumers stay being declined.
All clothing and personal items brought to the Respite Home must be labelled with the Consumers initials. The Respite Home Staff will launder the clothing during the Consumers stay with RRRC. A “clothing list” will be provided to the Families/Care Providers after each stay. The Families/Care Providers are to complete the Form prior to each stay at the Respite Home.
RRRC is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles/items.
Invoices are sent by mail to the Families/Care Providers.
